WESTBOURNE PARK RD, NOTTING HILL

This client had a very broad objective; for me to create more space and splash more colour everywhere. Being such a small flat in central London, this balance was a challenge to achieve without making the space overbearing or garish.

We succeeded in producing a new layout for the open-plan kitchen and living areas, bathroom and bedroom.

Both the kitchen and bath rooms were in great need of clever space planning, due to the limited space. The kitchen gained more seating, more cupboard space, and a far more practical and functional layout. The bathroom was completely re-orientated and gained more floor space as well as storage.

The palette of pinks and greens were used throughout the flat to create flow and consistency, but the bathroom enjoyed a far more luxurious feel since it had no windows- so instead we embraced the darker tones and moodier lighting.
